In 2009, his work exhibition ‘John Baldassari’ was opened at the Tate Modern in London.
My opinion on his workPersonally, I like his work because you can't really work out his intentions and it makes you question what he's doing and why he did it, his work doesn't tell us what it is and it gives anyone the opportunity to interpret it in whatever way they want to.
Wrong photosWrong photos are photos that have poor composition, some being leading lines, simplifying the scene, using diagonals & creative with colours. For example it can be the man standing in line with the pole which goes against the rules of composition, all of the photos lack diagonal lines which make it boring and uninteresting.
John PowellAnother artist that breaks the rule of composition is John Powell, who's photo above shows us another 'wrong photo'. He does not do this on accident, he takes wrong photos deliberately after breaking the composition theory. For example; he doesn't use the "Triangle Composition" if in the picture of the woman and man had a third person or object it would've create a triangle which would follow one of the composition theories. Another way this picture is wrong is because the man behind the lady is at an awkward angle, he's not at a proper angle to determine where to position a clear line, therefore making it "wrong"
