As I am so use to seeing Leicester architecture on a daily bases, I forget to appreciate the art around me. When we went out to take these pictures we really had to search in deep for old, new and unique buildings. I had to search harder for this as it was very difficult to find different buildings since I have only seen Leicester to be very boring with unimaginative architecture.
Some of them I found to be very boring as they were all of the same kind of colour and they all seem to be wearing down. The windows were broken down and the bricks just looked very dirty and chipped. For example we found a run down mill on Gipsy Lane which had broken windows, splintering wood and flaking paint.
However some of them are getting a makeover and looking much better, for instance plain buildings on melton roads are now brightly painted into vibrant colours of pink, yellow, blue and reds, making it appear to be more attractive and has an overall improvement.

In this picture, it gives the audience the vision of the texture of the object which makes the picture more alluring and interesting. I used a wide aperture to get the left half of the image focused and then it slowly faded to the right.
In this picture I laws focus to blur out the fence in front of me and it can focus more on the building behind. The logo stands out because it's bright colours against greys and it catches the eye.
I took this picture from a low angled position so it shows how tall the building is and it makes the audience feel smaller than the picture. The shadows in the ridges of the building gives the 3D effect. Towards the bottom of the picture, it's very sharp and in focus which makes the audience instantly look at it and it then slowly fades upwards.
